Much of their music is a little too hard rock for me, but I like the aggressive alt-rocker crushcrushcrush and the waltzing The Only Exception, a song about new hope for love in the face of cynicism and disappointment.

I ran across Halfway to Hazard's Countrified while looking for another song. There are several versions of this tune by different artists, and this one might best be characterized as a mashup of Montgomery Gentry, Lynyrd Skynrd, and Bon Jovi. I think it would make for a good Canadian Stomp line dance.

I was surprised at how much I liked Brady Seals' new music during his performance at Cancun Cantina, so I picked up his album Play Time.
As a songwriter he has a great ear for infectious melodies and beats, such as on Truckers Song and Been There Drunk That. The most unique song is Askin' Questions, with its unusual rapid-fire drumming and sawing fiddle work.
Otherwise You'll Come Running has a slowly grooving two-step beat and the rest of the songs have a catchy sound and a slightly over-the-top sense of humor. This goes to an extreme with Farmer Brown, a bluegrass tale about, er, another kind of grass.
